Fireworks over San Carlos Bay
July 4 on Sanibel Island – 2017
Like many small towns, Sanibel goes all out in celebrating July 4th. Children and adults from all over the country decorate bikes and pedal Periwinkle. The parade is followed by the Optimist’s Club’s Road Rally, Sanibel’s longest running July 4 event. Prizes are awarded for best-decorated vehicle, team coming from the farthest location and correct answers to the Road Rally quiz. Enjoy a gorgeous fireworks display over San Carlos Bay from the Causeway Islands or on Sanibel’s bay side. The Dunes Golf & Tennis Club offers food, fun and fireworks. Happy Independence Day!
